Dr. Lana Bolhouse has more than three decades of nursing and educational experience. Prior to joining the faculty at OBU, Bolhouse was a staff nurse at Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Karen Cotter
Assistant Professor of Nursing

An OBU nursing graduate herself, Karen Cotter teaches all levels of nursing classes. She is the sponsor of OBU's chapter of Student Nurses Association. She is also an active member of the Oklahoma Nurses Association and involved with the Workplace Advocacy Task Force.

Dr. Canaan Crane has been a licensed marital and family therapist since 2002 and an approved supervisor for the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy since 2005.

Jody DeFehr is the Director of Pastoral Care at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City and a Board Certified Chaplain with the Associate of Professional Chaplains.

Dr. Claudine Dickey, RN
Adjunct Professor of Nursing

Dr. Claudine Dickey retired from OBU as Dean of the College of Nursing in 1999. Dr. Dickey returned to OBU as an occasional adjunct faculty and, more recently, as a regular faculty in the Master of Science in Nursing program.

Trish Zylstra Edwards
Adjunct Professor of Business

Trish Edwards is the CEO of The Harvest Abroad, an international business company based in Oklahoma City. As Director of Marketing at Vertical Learning Curve, she helped create and market the world's first 3D, virtual-reality degree programs. Trish has traveled and done business in every continent, except Antarctica.

Dr. Patrick Fitzgerald is an Adjunct Professor of Finance and Economics and, concurrently, a Visiting Scholar at Vanderbilt University, Senior Partner with Fitzgerald & Associates-Attorneys at Law, and President of Fitzgerald Economic and Business Consulting.

Dr. Lee Goen

Professor of Business

Dr. J. Lee Goen is a retired United States Air Force Officer. He has received the United States Air Force Meritorious Service Medal along with the United States Air Force Commendation Medal three times. His Air Force duties included serving as flight crew member of B-52 bombers, operations officer strategic training range, executive officer, and staff engineer.

Associate Director

Gray has over ten years of experience in marketing, management and business relations. She has also served as an advisor and supporter for small businesses and non-profit organizations in her community. Dr. Robbie Henson, RN
Associate Professor of Nursing

Dr. Robbie Henson has clinical experience in a wide range of specialties including medical-surgical nursing, intensive care nursing, and postpartum and labor and delivery nursing. In 1996, she received both the Oklahoma Nurse Educator of the Year award from the Oklahoma Nurses’ Association and the Promising Teacher Award from OBU.

Lana Melton

Administrative Assistant

Having been with the Graduate School since 2011, Lana Melton has a long connection with the university which spans over three decades.  She is an OBU graduate who is highly involved in her church, having served many years in both music and preschool/children's ministry.  Lana has also served in the ministry of Hope Pregnancy Center.

Dr. Mullins has a background in business development and marketing within the banking industry. She currently serves on the board of directors of Arvest Bank of Shawnee. She has served on various area boards such as Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, and South Central Shelter Workshop.

Gerry Nixon

Professor of Accounting

Gerry Nixon came to OBU in 2009 with over thirty-five years of accounting and higher education experience. Besides his higher education background, Mr. Nixon has also been involved in public accounting. He has been a staff accountant, senior accountant, manager, and partner.

Travis Pickens
Attorney

Dr. Pickens is currently serving as Ethics Counsel for the Oklahoma Bar Association. He was named as an honoree for the 2010 Leadership in Law award, honoring Oklahoma's outstanding leaders who unselfishly give their time and energy to improve the lives of fellow Oklahomans.

Dr. Rich Rudebock

Dr. Richard Rudebock has 28 years of business experience in sales, management and training. He is a 23-year veteran instructor and former manager of instruction for Dale Carnegie Training Systems.
